The source is the same — Origanum vulgare hirtum from Mt. Olympus. The form is completely different. Dried oregano is the whole plant, dried and packed for culinary use — for seasoning food. How do I dilute this safely?

The standard dilution ratio is 1–3 drops of oregano oil per teaspoon of a carrier liquid — olive oil, water, or honey all work well. For skin application, dilute further: 1 drop per teaspoon of carrier oil. At 82% carvacrol, undiluted application causes a strong burning sensation. This is expected and not dangerous if brief, but irritating enough that dilution is simply the practical approach.

Can I take oregano oil daily?
