I'm pretty sure someone just sat next to the bush, pulling off leaves and filling these envelopes.

The tea is very whole leaf. Sometimes whole branch. And the branches still have a tiny bit of flex to them, so very, very fresh.

The instructions say you should do a decoction and then an infusion (new use for my butter warmer). The result is a pleasant tasting (lemon/licorice) dark yellow liquor that clearly has some chamomile in it.

My only complaint is that the wholeness of the leaves means that I have to be careful to take all three kinds. There are also some random stems with no leaves, though not too many.

I've been looking for a hot beverage that's tasty and caffeine-free so I can drink it in the evening without disturbing my sleep. This one really hits the spot. The instructions on the package call for "3 grams" (about a three-fingers pinch full) to be boiled in 12 ounces of water for 3-5 minutes, and then steeped for another 3-5 minutes. Preparing it this way gives you a great flavorful tea (or "tisane," if you want to get technical) that has a substantial flavor but is still relaxing. Chamomile tea I've had in the past has been almost vanishingly weak, but not this stuff. The aroma is really delightful too.

My wife and I have been trying to expand our tea flavors and try new things and so when we saw this we figured we'd give it a shot. The smell of the tea when you open the bag is really nice and my wife agreed that the aroma was very good. Brewed up some hot tea using this and it turned out really nice, my wife agreed. We'd recommend this to anyone thinking of trying something new.

Greek mountain tea is wonderful all by itself. But in combination with chamomile and lemon verbena it achieves a subtle complexity that’s very pleasing, even uplifting.

Yes, this tea can uplift and refresh without keeping you awake. In fact, it’s so relaxing, it’s an ideal bedtime tea. Drinking it, I feel both alert and calm. If I had to describe the flavor, I’d say it tastes like a meadow of wildflowers. I really love this tea. So does my husband.

The dried leaves and flowers are not at all limp or crushed, but very fresh and snappy, the way dried herbs should be. All three ingredients are organic, all are medicinal herbs with reputed health benefits, and all have traditionally been used to court sleep.

This is a product from Greece and the main leaf is actually Sideritis scardica, or mountain tea, often consumed in Greece and Spain. I've bicycled through Crete and the smell takes me back to the atmosphere of oregano and similar herbs you notice in the countryside.
